Quilt Collection M.

 Seit Oktober war das Those Trees-Top fertig und seitdem war ich total unentschlossen, was ich quilten sollte bzw. wollte. Diese Entscheidung ist immer wirklich schwierig. Ich stecke viel Mühe ins das Nähen und Topmachen und dann möchte ich es einfach individuell und schön machen. Ich wollte auf jeden Fall Sterne und Bäumchen in den Hintergrund quilten, aber wie und was bringe ich den Hintergrund hinein? Ich habe bis zum Schluß geschwankt zwischen Linien und einfachem Doodling.., dann hatte ich mich für Linien entschieden, die Sterne und Bäume vorgezeichnet und...einfach gedoodelt...in dem Augenblick, in dem ich anfange wird alle Theorie grau und ich mache es anders.  Jetzt ist er fertig und hängt. Sogar das Binding -ein Goldbinding- ist dran und blinkt richtig schön.   Mr A von Capaquilts zeigte ein super interessantes Muster in Instagram und rief zum Testnähen auf. Da konnte ich nicht widerstehen. Ich habe mich gemeldet. Kreise, Halbkreise und Streifen würden zusammen einen ganz modernen Quilt ergeben. Ich war begeistert. So einfach geht das und schon werden alle UFOs zur Seite geschoben.   There was this cool pattern of Mr A of Capaquilts and Mr A was looking for testers on Instagram. What a great chance. The pattern is all about stripes and circles and halfcircles - exactly what I love.  Danach drehte sich bei mir wirklich alles um Halbkreise und ganze Kreise. Erst war ich voller Hochachtung vor den ganzen Kreisen. Sie sind komplett eingenäht und das bei einem Kreisdurchmesser von ca 5"...aber es geht wirklich alles.  In the beginning I was a bit scared as the circles are not that big.  I did it again: I quilted along in the Classic and Vintage Series of Fatquartershop. I so love the Vintage blocks and I also love the outcome of the blocks. For a few years (since 2017)  I have been quilting along with Fatquartershop and their blog The Jolly Jabber . It is always in their Classic and Vintage Series that I have sewn the blocks. This year was the sixth time. Again I really like the pattern: It is the Blazing Star. Please check all the other versions . The pattern is free . I started with the star and then decided  on the blazing corners. To decide on the colors was not so easy. In the beginning I also wanted to add some taupe stars but I did not like it too much.
